Expanded Food Security

The HR 6201 Bill provides nearly $1 billion to expand access to food security programs, including SNAP, WIC, and the emergency food assistance program.

Certain households that have a child whose school has been closed for at least five consecutive days will be eligible for these benefits. Additionally, the measure temporarily lifts the work requirement for adults without dependent children to receive food stamps.

Free COVID-19 Testing

Health insurers and government programs will cover the cost of testing, including emergency room visits and doctor fees.
